How to cut an event highlight reel from raw footage.
The day is over. The cards are on a drive in London, Austin, Lagos or Pune. The client wants a film, not a folder. A footage-first AI video editor cuts that footage to one song on a real timeline.

Not for: Not a prompt-to-video generator, not a photo slideshow, not a talking-head YouTube editor, and not a listing walkthrough from stills.
What this platform is
Search uses “AI video editor” for two jobs. One starts with a sentence and invents picture. The other starts with cards you shot — a hall, a pitch, a stage — and has to become a film. Vantacut is the second. Wedding films are a common case. They are not the product. English UI. Runs worldwide. The rate card is in Indian rupees.
Define done before you cut
A highlight is not the whole day. A three-minute recap from a two-hour offsite is a different film from a ten-minute documentary of a match. Trim the music bed to the film you sold; the quote follows the bed.
Prepare the bin, not a prompt
Originals stay on the drive. Analyse runs once per shoot, billed on hours of footage in 30-minute blocks. It is footage analysis, not a detector that names a keynote or a goal.
The song is the edit
The bed’s length is the reel’s length. A launch recap, an encore teaser and a first dance all follow that rule. Load a score or the live track — pick one. There is no beat-grid you tap.
Check beats for this day
Walk the timeline against the day you shot. A missing beat is a swap, not a new feature.
| Event | Beats to check |
|---|---|
| Corporate / gala | Arrival, stage, award or keynote face, room reaction, close |
| Concert / festival | Doors, first number, crowd, encore, out |
| Sport | Warm-up, key plays, bench, trophy or handshake |
| Graduation / celebration | Processional, name and face, family, toss or party |
| Wedding (one vertical) | Ready, entrance, vows, portraits, floor |
Your footage stays on the machine
Editing, playback and export run on your computer. Analyse sends short, low-resolution previews of each clip, which carry the recorded sound, and the app asks you to agree first. Originals are not copied, moved or uploaded. The editor runs worldwide, in English; prices are in Indian rupees.
Questions
Does this only work for weddings?
No. The job is the same for a corporate gala, a concert recap, a match or a ceremony. You check different beats on the timeline.
Does it run in my country?
Yes. Windows and Linux, English interface. The rate card is in Indian rupees and quoted in the app before you spend.
Will it invent a shot the camera missed?
No. If it is not on the cards, it is not in the reel. Import generated B-roll as a clip if you must; AI Cut only sees the bin.
