Does Vantacut upload my footage?
No. Originals never leave your computer. Analyse sends short, low-resolution previews of each clip, which carry the recorded sound. The app tells you this and asks you to agree before the first pass.
What do I pay for?
A one-year licence covers the editor. Analyse is priced on hours of footage and AI Cut on the length of the finished reel; both are quoted in the app before the button enables.
Is the licence really free?
For the first year, yes. Claim the code on the download page and redeem it in the app with the same email. It is a full licence worth ₹6,000, without credits.
How long does Analyse take?
A while on a full wedding. It runs in the background with its own Cancel, and you can keep editing. Once per shoot, not once per reel.
Why is AI Cut greyed out?
Hover it. The footage is not analysed, the bin is still importing, a job is running, or the quote exceeds your balance.
How does the music decide the reel?
The bed's length is the reel's length and its phrases are the cuts. Trim it and the shot count, runtime and quote drop with it.
What are the themes?
Cinematic Story for narrative shape, Documentary for the day in order, Emotional for faces and reactions, Energetic for fast cuts and movement.
Will it put dissolves everywhere?
No. Cuts inside a scene stay hard. Only act and scene changes get a transition, and the reel never changes length.
What does “The review can take a few attempts” mean?
Vantacut cuts a version, judges it, and cuts again if needed. A few minutes here is normal. Cancel really does stop it.
What do the dialogs after a cut mean?
“Your reel is shorter than the music” and “Check this cut before you send it” are flags, not errors: the reel is on the timeline. “No reel this time” means the review refused its own work; Try again. “Analysis failed” and “AI Cut failed” are the real errors.
Can I change the reel afterwards?
Yes. It is ordinary clips on ordinary tracks. One Ctrl+Z lifts all of it; trim, swap shots, add titles, export with Ctrl+E.
What is Auto Balance Colour?
A colour pass after the cut that evens out white balance across shots lit differently. Remove Auto Balance takes it off; a checkbox in the Colour menu turns it off for next time.
Which platforms are supported?
Windows and Linux now. macOS is coming; leave your details on the download page.
Does it work outside India?
Yes. It runs anywhere, in English, and works offline for everything except the two AI stages. Prices are shown in Indian rupees.
