Themes

The four themes.

A theme is a brief for AI Cut, not a filter laid over the picture. It changes what the cut reaches for. It never changes the length of the reel.

What a theme actually changes

It tells AI Cut what to favour when it chooses between shots that both fit the phrase — narrative shape, chronological order, faces, or movement. It does not grade the picture, add effects, or alter the runtime. The music bed still decides how long the film is.

Picking the wrong one is cheap to undo

If the pace is wrong, cut again with a different theme. That is a second AI Cut, quoted before it runs, on footage already analysed — you do not pay to analyse the shoot twice. Most editors settle it on the first or second attempt.
