How to read these
Each page states the job first, then the differences that follow from it, then who should pick the other tool. Vantacut’s Auto-Edit makes the first cut of a highlight reel from hours of raw event footage, on your own computer. Where another tool does your job better, these pages say so. Every fact about another product was checked on its own site, and the date is kept with it.
One search term, two different products
“AI video editor” is used for two unrelated jobs: generating new picture, and cutting footage a camera already recorded. Much of the confusion in these comparisons comes from that collision, which is why the Runway page spends most of its length on it.
