What each one needs from you
An editor needs material: the cards from the day, a song, and a few answers only you know, such as who matters most and what to leave out. A generator needs a description of a shot that does not exist yet. One asks you to have been there with a camera; the other asks you to imagine it.
What you get back
From an editor, a timeline of your own clips, with the real faces and the real sound of the day, which you can trim, reorder or undo. From a generator, new picture of something that never happened. That can be the right answer for an abstract opener or a background, but it is not a record of anything.
Why event work needs the editor
A wedding, a gala or a match is paid for because it happened. The client wants their own vows, their own stage and their own winning moment, in the voices that were there.
