- The ask, if you filmed it. If the ask was secret and you only have the walk-up, that walk-up is the opening. The reel will not invent a kneel the camera missed.
- The ring in the light you had. One clean insert. Golden-hour backlight is easier to even out than a restaurant’s mixed spots; check the faces either way.
- The two of them, then the room. A thirty-second song has no time for a guest montage. Keep the couple, and one reaction from a parent if it is actually in the footage.
- A walk, not twelve locations. Engagement shoots wander. The cut should not. Keep the stretch of path that matches one phrase of the song.
- The kiss you will send. End on a frame they can post. If the last shot is a wide of a street, swap it before export.
After Vantacut Auto-Edit makes the cut, walk these beats on the timeline. A missing one is an ordinary clip; swap it in.
How Vantacut cuts it
Import the small bin, turn on AI analysis, trim the song to the teaser you promised, pick Emotional or Cinematic Story, and press Create. Answer the questions about who matters and the tone, then swap the last frame if it is a dud. Same editor as the wedding, on a shorter song.
The music
Trim the song to thirty or forty seconds before you press Create. The song’s length is the reel’s length, so a three-minute song makes a three-minute engagement film you did not sell.
The light
Usually one hour of one kind of light: dusk, a park, a table. Colour is simpler than a wedding. Auto Balance Colour still helps if you moved inside for the ring.

Start with Emotional. You pick it alongside the song and the brief, and if the pace is wrong you can run Auto-Edit again with another of the four.

An hour of new footage is charged by the minute, once, and a second reel from it pays for the reel only. The rates are on the pricing page, so you can work out the number before you start.
Can I add the couple’s names as a title?
Yes. The reel is ordinary clips on a real timeline; add titles there before you export.
Is it the same app I use for the wedding?
